Haleʻiwa Aliʻi Beach Park

An Absence of Viable Alternatives.

A recent business analysis has identified that one of the most significant expenses related to the maintenance of public parks, outdoor events, and similar recreational venues is the removal of waste. A cost assessment from 2005 indicated that emptying a single 50-gallon trash bin in a public park costs over $5.00, and this expense has only increased since then. Efficient waste management is essential for all recreational activities, yet the challenge remains in minimizing the costs associated with manually emptying these trash receptacles. The persistence of traditional waste disposal methods can be attributed to the absence of viable alternatives. The financial gap between the manual collection of trash in public parks and the fully automated services available in residential areas is notably significant.

The Essence of Automated Residential Refuse Collection.

In a fascinating yet relatively obscure piece of information, the City of Scottsdale holds the distinction of being the birthplace of the world's first automated refuse vehicle. Dubbed the "Barrel Snatcher," this pioneering machine would set a new standard as the first of its kind globally. Click the link below to check it out.

Virtual Insight

The practice of mechanized waste collection, once limited to residential and commercial areas, is now being introduced in recreational leisure venues. Little Giant Refuse Vehicle, LLC IP Development has identified the need for an automated solution to address the physical limitations of emptying 50-gallon trash receptacles within these venues. The result of their efforts is a pioneering series of lightweight machines specifically designed for waste collection in leisure venues. These state-of-the-art products, yet to be unveiled to the public, present an efficient and automated approach to waste collection within leisure venues and similar facilities. With the launch of these new products, leisure refuse conservation will be similar to residential curbside refuse collection.

Manual trash collection leads to careless service causing over flowing trash bins.

The Definition of Leisure Refuse

The language "Leisure refuse" has been introduced by Little Giant Refuse Vehicle LLC IP Development to describe a specific category of waste that should be listed within the Municipal Solid Waste classification. This "waste category" would function as a subgroup category, highlighting the type of trash and the specific locations where it originates.

A little history about who I am. I am the boots on the ground, from a small group of retired Scottsdale employees. Our efforts piloted the development of the City of Scottsdale's Greenbelt, Parks, and Trail system. Today, those efforts flourish, creating the leisure environment for all citizens of Scottsdale to enjoy. My tenure with Scottsdale expanded my life, education, and professional development. Truly, an organizational culture that propagates creative thinking. Throughout my career, I have seized opportunities to develop a vast number of skill sets, successfully championed by numerous quality outcomes. I am a polymath of sorts!

Today, I am a creative entrepreneur, developing a trash emptying device. I have taken an incessant idea and turned it into reality. Research, knowledge, and numerous influences surrounding a complex problem have fostered a direct solution in the automation of leisure refuse conservation. The evolution of this exceptional breakthrough, the advantages it offers, and the journey that led to this point, I will discuss later.

Through this creativity, I have had the opportunity to author a United States Patent, provide public speaking, structure two startup companies, and pursue other similar interests. Undeniably, patent development continues to be my most fulfilling achievement. These actions bring a smartly engineered solution to a complicated task. Compared to current methods, my product provides a smaller carbon footprint through task process efficiency, aids recycling purity, enhances public safety, and gives society a cleaner environment to enjoy. That said, I enjoy paying it forward and working with others. I enjoy bowling, coaching girls' fast pitch softball, instructing sailing, and mentoring youths. So, my personal time is spent with my wife, daughters, and grandchildren. My nirvana is offshore sailing.
